Need another SP to keep up in the mega man gauntlet that is the NL East. Tried to acquire Keller the last 1.5 years and we like this price. Hoping this helps us defeat ass-blaster-man (ATL), studs-for-days-man (PHI), don’t-sleep-on-us-man-man (MIA), and hey-we-still-have-Julio-man (WSH) so we finally have a shot at Dr. Wily (OAK)

The ownership for the Mets accept.
It's an arms race with the Phillies and Braves in the NL East, and Mitch gives us some back of the rotation help to compete while Lance McCullers continues to nurse his 11th elbow injury. We tried trading for Mitch last season but could not make it happen. We are excited for his potential. 2023 was a tale of two halves for Keller. From an all-star to just getting absolutely fucking shelled on a .345 BABIP. We are hoping for the former, or somewhere in between.
